拡張ニュー屋台

屋台は都市の台所の拡張であり、家事を共有する文化です。屋台文化が花咲いた300年前の江戸の都市も、出稼ぎの単身居住や住居の狭さ、忙しくて料理する時間がないといった今の私たちと変わらない悩みに溢れていました。屋台はそれらを解決するための、小さな商売の場所であり装置です。
2021年に暮らすわたしたちの身の回りは、さまざまな暮らしの「しんどさ」が存在します。新型ウィルスによりわたしたちの豊かさの基準は大きくシフトしつつありますが、ちょっとしたことだと思っていたことがかけがえのない幸せだったと気がついたり日々発見もあるでしょう。この拡張ニュー屋台はそれら社会の悩みや喜びを仮想の屋台に仕立て、共有する実験です。

会場では、海洋資源、農業、リサイクル、民族多様性などのテーマを、”屋台”に仕立て、展示します。
週末には テーマに関連したトークやワークショップを実施しました。

Expanded Food Stall

The food stall is an extension of the urban kitchen and a culture of shared household chores. Three hundred years ago, when the food stall culture blossomed, the city of Edo was also filled with the same problems as we have today, such as single migrant workers living alone, cramped living quarters, and a busy schedule that left no time to cook. The food stall was a place and a device for small businesses to solve these problems.
Living in the year 2021, we are surrounded by a variety of “hardships” in our lives. The new virus is shifting our standards of affluence, but there will also be daily discoveries, such as realizing that what we thought was a small thing was an invaluable blessing. The Expanded New Stall is an experiment to share the worries and joys of society by creating a virtual stall.

At the venue, themes such as marine resources, agriculture, recycling, and ethnic diversity will be displayed as “stalls”.
On weekends, talks and workshops related to the themes were held.
